Purrcival has had the same favourite cat toy since 2021 and, somehow, he has turned it into a full personality, a daily ritual, and possibly a small failing business.
This is the Sweet Stick.
To most people, it looks like a very normal cat wand toy. To Purrcival, it is a sacred object, a lifestyle brand, and apparently something his siblings desperately need to be converted to.
Strictly Cat-to-Cat Marketing
We are a bit jealous because he never really bring it to us. This is not a human service. This is strictly cat-to-cat marketing. Every day he carries his favourite toy around the house and offers it to Rabbitowitz and Lyle, who respond with the enthusiasm of people being stopped in the street by someone doing a poll.
As far as cat behavior goes, we have many theories:
- Maybe he’s sharing his favourite toy.
- Maybe he’s showing off his hunting skills.
- Maybe he’s bringing a “gift” to his brothers.
- Maybe he wants them to play.
- Maybe he’s trying to start a new religion.
- Maybe he’s just the world’s least successful cat toy salesman.
Whatever it is, this little ritual has been going on for years and it is genuinely one of the sweetest, weirdest, most endearing things he does.
