Why We Switched to At-Home Vet Visits

Our local vets are great, but taking three cats to an appointment used to feel like organising a tiny military evacuation. Carriers, traffic, motion sickness, waiting rooms, barking dogs, emotional damage, cleaning-up afterwards… the usual. And when I say Munchie has motion sickness I mean he gets super sick within 20 minutes in his carrier 🤢🤢🤢 driving with him is a nightmare!

You’d be surprised how much can actually be done in the comfort of your home. We’ve had vaccines, microchips, bloodwork, ear checks and even an abdominal ultrasound done on our sofa 😃 All with minimal stress for the cats.

This isn’t sponsored in any way. I just know many people struggle with getting their cats to the vet, especially if they have multiple cats, anxious cats, or cats with motion sickness. So if you have a mobile vet in your area, it’s definitely worth looking into for routine appointments.

And if you’re in London, Martina from @ctvets_at_home_and_in_clinic is a real cat whisperer 🙌 The boys love her, we love her, and every visit has been easy and calm 🩷
